Pokemon Violet IC - Page 5 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Pokemon Violet IC   Pokemon Violet IC - Page 5 EmptyTue Feb 05, 2013 11:24 am

"Gojira! Dodge and use crush grip! Finish this!" but Gojira didn't move. He was in so much pain, most of which being inflicted by his trainer, that he cramped up and couldn't move. The Sandile bit him on the neck, a critical hit, and the intense electricity pulsates through its body. But the beast couldn't give up. Not now. If he stopped fighting, Claire would hurt him like she did last time. For what seemed like forever, the Sandile's electricity arced through Gojira's nerves as he tried to withstand the hit for his trainer. But it was all too much. When the light dimmed, Gojira was steaming. He groaned once, and collaosed to the ground, barely alive.

Claire stared down at the hurt Druddigon and a small inkling of sympathy swept across her face. That Druddigon had almost died to just please her.

"Return, Gojira." she returned her monster to its Pokeball and gently kissed the ball. "I couldn't be happier with you." she whispered before turning towards Red. The sandstorm vanished and she walked across the floor.

"Congratulations." she said "You have beaten me. it was an excellent battle. Here's your badge".

Pokemon Violet IC - Page 5 RisingBadge

Red obtained the Rising Badge!

"This badge causes all Pokemon under level thirty to obey you without question. it also allows you to use the HM cut blah blah blah here's your TM." she muttered humorously. From out of her pocket she took a bluish-purple disk and handed it to him. "It contains the attack dragon claw. Put it in a TM player and it will teach your Pokemon the attack." After this, Claire bowed her head slightly and put her pokeballs in a healing machine that slid out of the floor.

"next challenger!" she yelled half-heartedly. Claire wasn't going to lose twice, but she couldn't risk using Gojira again, so she'd have to settle for two Pokemon instead of the sanction three.

Red looke at the battlefield for a moment, awestruck, before lifting his fist to eye level and shook it in happieness. "Quake, return." He said, recalling the small crocodile. He looked at the pokeball for a minute, and smiled. "You made me proud, Quake... Thankyou." He said before putting the pokeball back in his belt. He took out a badge case, and set the badge in it's correct spot.

"Draco," Red said, looking up to his friend in the stands. "I need to go to the pokemon center and heal these two up. I'll be back in a few." Red said, turning around to get onto the motor boat that victors could take to the exit. He took a few steps to it, before turning his head to look at Claire. "Oh, and Claire, thanks. Thanks for giving Crossfire the push he needed to evolve." He said, and gave a small smile, before he turned back around and hopped on the boat.

(One trip to the Pokemon center later...)

"Yes, I'd like you to heal up my pokemon." Red said, pushing his two pokeballs to the nurse Joy. The nurse in question smiled and took the pokeballs, placing them on a machine and turne it on. The machine began to send energy into the capsules. "Here you are." The Joy said, oixking up the pokeballs and handing them to Red. "We hope to see you again." She said, and smiled again.

"Craw!" A Deino growled, bitting down on Red's leg. "YOWCH!" Red yelled, looking down in annoyance. "Listen, I' sorry I forgot you, but I'm only human!" Red said, exasperated. "Just get in your pokeball. We have a battle to go to." Red said, lifting his pokeball to return the little dragon. It growled an dodged the beam, only to jump on Red's shoulder. "Fine, just please don't take my ear off. I happen to like it."

PostSubject: Re: Pokemon Violet IC   Pokemon Violet IC - Page 5 EmptyTue Feb 05, 2013 6:13 pm

Draco stood up after Red left, and exhaled deeply. This was it. This was his moment to shine; to prove to the world that he was a force to be reckoned with. He slowly walked to his place on the platform opposite Claire, shaking like a leaf. She had almost defeated Red, who was an excellent trainer. He took a deep breath, and slowly exhaled.

remember your training. he thought to himself.

But I didn't have any training! Claire spun around on her heel, a Pokeball in each hand.

"We'll only use two Pokemon, okay?" she said, bitterly. Draco nodded, and grabbed his first Pokeball. This was it.

"Go, Sequoia!" he called out as he chucked the first pokeball high into the air. From out of a bath of crimson light appeared Sequoia the Pineco, who spun around on his axis, trying to look about as threatening as a Pinecone could. Claire looked down at the angry-looking Pineco and had to hide her smile behind her cape. A Pineco, really?"

"Let's get this over with." she muttered, grabbing a pokeball "Let's go, Axew!" She threw the Pokeball, and Axew appeared, now fully healed. "Dragon claw!" Axew's hands began to glow purple, and it charged at Sequoia.

"Sequoia! Protect!" Sequoia became cloaked in a soft, blue light, and the raking claws bounced right off of him, doing no damage whatsoever. "Rapid spin!" Sequoia began to quickly spin around, like a mini tornado, and it shot itself at Axew with death-defying speed. Th Axew took the hit across the chest, and it skittered across the field, where it got back up and angrily grunted.

"Dragon rage, Axew!" Claire called out. The Axew hissed loudly, and a blast of purplosh-blue fire shot from out of his mouth, scorching Sequoia, who flew backwards from the hit and nearly fell into the boiling water.

"Sequoia, pin missile!" Draco yelled The Pineco began to spin once more, and several large spikes were launched from it, barraging the Axew, who attempted to roll out of harm's way, but failed. Claire cursed under her breath.

"Dragon claw again Axew!" The Axew ran at Sequoia at full speed, glowing claws extended.

one more moment... Draco smiled, and Sequoia looked over at him fearfully as the Axew charged it without Draco giving a command.

just one more... "Are you gonna move, kid?" Claire yelled across the platform. Axew was close now, so close.

"Shut up!" Draco yelled across the field.

Now! "Sequoia, self-destruct!" Just before the Axew collided with Sequoia, it sucked in air, bloated slightly, becoming more rotund, and exploded in a blast of white. Axew went soaring across the gym and crashed into the wall, unconscious. Sequoia returned to his Pokeball, injured, but happy that he had won. Draco grabbed his second Pokeball, and tossed it at the same time that Claire tossed her's.

"Ladon!" Draco called out.

"Horsea!" Draco's Dratini Ladon appeared on the field, accompanied by a Horsea.

(A break to let Red post)

southern Snowpoint City

The morning sunlight shimmered off of the early-morning frozen dew that coated the frozen fields of Snowpoint City. The field was struck with a calm serenity, as if time stood still a moment. However, not all was quiet and serene in this freezing meadow. There was something else in the snow, not snow, not ice, but the pink mist of blood, and the remnants of broken glass, as well as what seemed to be a crimson red wine of some sort. The trail of bloody mist lead across the meadow, in the same path as a set of footsteps. At the end of the trail was a little sliver of a woman, perhaps sixteen or so. Her black hair was tinged red from wine, and her pretty, silky-smooth face, was littered with an assortment of glass cuts and congealed blood. Her right eye was partially blackened, and the other looked nearly dead, as if the life had been leeched right out of her soul. She shivered, but barely so, as she was near death. Her clothes were torn in all the wrong places and loosely hung from her body like skin remnants on a skeleton left in a Nevada desert for six months. her eyes were heavily shadowed, as the girl had not slept for a while. She limped through a thicket of frozen trees, as her ankle was sprained and the heel was missing from her left boot. A few steps later, the girl collapsed into the snow, dead in all but the slightest fluttering of her delicate heart.

For days, the frozen princess lay in the snow, practically dead. The ever present snowfall buried her delicate body in layers of powdery frost. The villagers searched all over for her, but found nothing but a trail of blood that led nowhere. Her parents were the most furious about her being gone, and they searched fruitlessly, though seemed more angry about their stepdaughter's disappearance than they did concerned. Nobody ever found her.

Three days later, the frozen princess opened her robin egg blue frost-encrusted eyes to be blinded by a harsh light. The first feeling she felt was warmth, as if someone had turned on the sun in the frigid north. Standing above her was a cute-looking Smoochum, who was pouring a bowl of water with diced Aspear berries in it down the princess' throat to revive her. She sat bolt upright, almost crashing into the little Smoochum, and coughed deeply to clear her barely-alive lungs. She spent several minutes retching like a smoker and spitting up blood. After she had recovered, she shakily tried to rise to her feet, but was swept with a wave of vertigo and fell back to the sun-warmed loam. The Smoochum looked concerned, and put a warm washcloth on the princess' face in an attempt to thaw her soft face.

Several hours later, she awoke from her frozen slumber once more. She was shivering uncontrollably, and looked around to find herself in a green meadow, next to a trickling brook which was fed by a rocky waterfall that ran off from the melting snow. She grabbed the white quilt that now wrapped her tiny body and pulled it up over her face, a good sign. The Smoochum sat by the brook, collecting water in a little wooden bowl.

Pokemon Violet IC - Page 5 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Pokemon Violet IC   Pokemon Violet IC - Page 5 EmptyTue Feb 05, 2013 7:38 pm

Red began to bicycle back to the gym to watch Draco battle, the Deino, having forgiven him since it was on par with everyone else anyway, was now sitting in Red's backpack as he rode. However, Red noticed a man running down the road. The man was injured, and his clothes were torn and shredded. Red slowed to a stop as the man came by to question him. "Are you alright?" Red questioned, stopping. The man followed in suit, trying to catch his breath. "Don't go to the cave! There's some THING in there... It's a monster! I...It curb stomped all of my pokemon... and then went for me!" The man wheezed, then broke off running again. Red watched him run, before turning to look down the road. There was a small cave he had passed on the way to the gym before, but he had thought nothing of it. At the time.

"Thanatos..." Red said, causing the little pokemon to poke it's head out of his pack. "We're going in." He said, and then broke off on his bike, beelining for the cave entrance... As he entered, he noticed that the cave was dark and gloomy, and what seemed to be a massive boulder lied at the back. He looked around, there didn't seem to be anything around... Maybe the man had lied to him? No, you don't just look like that for no reason. "Alright Thanatos, there's nothing here. Lets go." Red said turning around. However, once he was done speaking, he noticed the boulder in the back stir, then move. As it moved, he thought it was a Golem, but it proved to be far more dangerous, and much larger. It stood to it's full height, and was a good eight inches taller than Red. Red took a step back at the sight of the monster before him. He needed to know what he just challenged. He reached for his pokedex, and brought it out. It whirred for a moment, scanning the pokemon before it.

"Tyranitar, the armor pokemon, and the final evolution on Larvitar. Tyranitar is so overwhelmingly powerful, it can bring down a whole mountain to make its nest. Its body can't be harmed by any sort of attack, so it is very eager to make challenges against enemies." The pokedex chimed, before continuing. "This Tyranitar is male, has the ability Sand stream, an has a Adamant nature. This Tyranitar knows the moves: Crunch, Stone Edge, Earthquake, and Dragon Dance."

"CENSORED." Red said, looking up at the beast. He had come after quite the monster, and now he would pay the price. He would need all the help he could get. "Everyone! I need you're help!" Red yelled to his pokemon, releasing his Gabite and Sandile, and his Deino jumped out of his pack. They all looked up at the beast, terrified of the creature. Quake attempted his intimidate ability, but to no avail, as the Tyranitar would have none of it.

"GROAWOAHAWAOH!!!" The Tyranitar roared, stomping it's foot.

"Crossfire, sand tomb! Thanatos, focus energy and then dragon breath, Quake, bite that thing as much as possible!" The three, despite their fear, bravely launched themselves at the intimidating enemy, who simply allowed it's sand stream ability to take place, creating a sandstorm inside the cave. The Deino launched it's Dragon rush into the Tyranitar, making it take a step back, before it lifted it's arm to grab the Deino and crunch down on it. However, the sandile dove into action, biting down on the Tyranitar's hand. It roared in frustration, and attempted to snap at the croc, before taking a dragon rage to the face. It roared, before throwing the two physical attackers off of him, and began to dragon dance.

"Again!" Red said, and the three complied, launching their attacks, respectively.

The Tyranitar took the attacks, and seemed to be breathing for a moment, before roaring, and launching an earthquake. The ground shook, and the raw power instantly knocked all three of Red's pokemon out, and sent him soaring out of the cave. He winced, and lifted himself back to his feet, looking at the cave entrance. Tyranitar was closing in on Thanatos. He quickly pulled out their pokeballs, and recalled them all before the Tyranitar could do any damage. It looked up in rage at Red, launching another earthquake and sending Red back to the ground. It twisted to a horizontal pose, and allowed it's legs to come to their full length, and began to walk at Red, malicious intent in it's eyes. Red stood no chance now. The Tyranitar was just TOO powerful... He wouldn't survive this, he would fail his friends and Draco, he would-

"CRACK!"

Red looked up only to see that the cave surrounding the Tyranitar crack, before falling, and ultimately crashing down upon the behemoth. The earthquakes had broken the landform surrounding it.

Red slowly got back to his feet, wobbling slightly, before reaching into his pack for an Ultraball. No other pokeball he had could hold this thing. He noticed the rubble move, and the creature lift itself from the rocks. It was STILL able to keep fighting. Red looked at the ball for a moment, before it looked back to the Tyranitar. It noticed the pokeball and roared, charging at Red like a freight train. Red panicked, and threw the ball before ducking in cover. The Ultraball hit the Tyranitar between the eyes and sucked it up. Red looked up, seeing that the earth shaking footsteps had stopped, and noticed the ball had hit the pokemon.

It wiggled once.

Twice..

The ball slowed for a moment, as if the monster inside it struggled to break it. Red closed his eyes. This was it, he was as good as dead.

"Ding!"

Red opened his eyes again, shock all over his face, noticing that the monster had been caught.

"Tyranitar registered. Would you like to name it?" his Pokedex chimed. Red looked down, and grabbed the gadget from his belt, and looked at it for a moment.

What was something that would always remind him of this thing's might?

'Foedus...' Red thought, and typed the name in.

The Pokedex whirred for a moment, before chiming to signal that the creature had been registered. Red walked to the pokeball, and picked it up, placing it on his belt. He wordlessly revived his unconscious pokemon, and got back on his bike. The ride back and entrance of the gym was like a blur to him, and befor ehe knew it, he was sitting in the stands of the gym once again watching Draco fight Claire. He noticed they were both down to one pokemon.

Israh glanced sharply at Cyril, offended, "You should be aware; what you think you see, and the things I have knowledge of, are completely different. I see no humor in my actions." Behind her, Riffraff and Wraith were exchanging glances, becoming concerned. They had yet to see Israh become angry before, and they didn't necissarily want to know what it was like. Their only saving grace was that it was anger at Cyril, and not at them. Of course, Riffraff kept on trying to get Ditto and Larvesta's attention, gesturing for the two to come over and interact with him and Wraith. The look on the Cubone's face suggested that they might not want to become involved with the dispute.

Ditto saw the writing on the wall and slowly edged towards the end of the table, where he flopped onto the pavement. Larvesta jumped down onto him, using him as a cushion, and then skittered across the road to Riffraff and Wraith. Ditto slank in front of Riffraff and in front of the Cubone's very eyes, turned into an exact copy of it, and extended a hand. Cyril sunk down in his chair and looked down at his feet, embarrassed. He had to go an mes everything up, didn't he? His face flushed a bright red and he began to stutter a bit, unsure as to what to say next.

---

Claire gazed upon the battlefield angrily and pondered her options. Horsea was a bad matchup for a Dratini. Too bad it hadn't evolved yet. She cursed under er breath and went to command Horsea, but before she could...

"Ladon, extremespeed!" Draco called out. Ladon shot across the field like a cannon and smashed into Horsea, sending it sprawling.

"Scald, Horsea!" The Horsea shot a blast of boiling water at Ladon, but missed.

"Extremespeed!" Boom! The Horsea was struck faster than the blink of an eye once more. "Keep doing that!" Ladon shot across the field like a cannon, sending Horsea sailing through the air like a ping pong ball. Claire became increasingly angry, as she couldn't give Horsea a command before it was blasted by yet another extremespeed. A few moments later, and Horsea lay in the middle of the battlefield, unconscious. Claire closed her eyes and sighed deeply, while Draco stared at the defeated Horsea for several moments, shocked. He had just beaten his first gymleader easier than Red had. Claire returned Horsea to its Pokeball and turned around, embarrassed. She had just been defeated twice by two newbies! That wasn't supposed to happen!

"This is impossible..." she murmured. But there was no fighting it. She handed Draco the badge and the TM and a few moments later, he was sailing across the water and exited the gym.

Red followed in suite, he simply nodded to Claire in recognition but was in more of a daze than anything else. He was eerily quiet for his normal aloof stature, and didn't seem to have much to talk about. "You did good on you're gym battle." Red said, trying to strike up a conversation. "But it's not good to rely on one move. If you overuse it, the pokemon will grow weary and not have the strength to continue to do it. You must allow it time to rest." He said. "But you did good... I met another addition to my team on the way here... He knocked out all of my pokemon with one attack... It was scary." He said, before sighing. "Let's get to the pokemon center and heal up... We'll decided where we will head next there. Sound good?" He questioned.

Riffraff was slightly surprised when he found himself staring at an exact copy of himself, but then quickly recovered. What other ability should he expect, from a Pokemon that appeared to be a lump of clay, or putty? It wasn't a bad skill, either. Being able to turn into things definitely had its good points. Regardless, Riffraff draped the bone he was holding over his shoulder, and shook Ditto's 'hand' with his free hand. He then stepped aside and allowed Wraith to do the same. Despite its appearance, Wraith in reality, did possess hands of a sort. The gas cloud around it could condense to a degree that it could manipulate things. That was why Gastly could learn moves that involved punching. Wraith finished shaking Ditto's hand, and then drifted away, as it did not want to accidentally smother the Pokemon.

Meanwhile, Israh was glaring at Cyril, completely annoyed. But then, he had blushed, and then started trying to scramble for words. The display was so pitiful, Israh was unable to continue being mad. She just didn't have the strength to stay angry at that, nor did she really want to be angry. She sighed, "Sorry I snapped, Cyril, I didn't mean it. Don't take it personally. I'm just so sick of people thinking they know the answer to a question that nobody asked in the first place. People are so worried about offending me, that they don't even ask why I do certain things, and they just jump to conclusions. I don't like answering questions, but sometimes I wish someone would actually ask them, because then I would know that they really cared about what I thought. They wouldn't just write me off as strange or crazy."

"Sounds good to me!" Draco said, looking up at the sky. It was close to nighttime, and his stomach grumbled angrily at him. He looked around the old town and saw the Pokemon Center, which smelled fantastic.

"But first," he said "let's get something to eat." At this, he began to walk towards the Pokemon center to grab a bite. When he got a few doors down to the street, he heard a sound of crying, and turned down a street to find a Yamask drifting through the air, looking down at a golden face which was on its tail. It sobbed once more, and sunk to the ground, devastated for some odd reason. Draco walked down the alley, intrigued by the tiny crying creature. It looked up at him and sobbed once more, as if his presence saddened it deeper.

"What's wrong, little guy?" He said, kneeling down in front of the Yamask. he flipped out his pokedex:

Yamask, the Spirit Pokemon. Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry. Each retains memories of its former life.

"Oh, I see." Draco said to the sad Yamask. "Hey Red!" he yelled "Can you help me out over here?"

---

"I never said you were strange or crazy." Cyril said, looking up at Israh "I actually think you're kind of....cute?" He blushed once more when he said this, and looke down. "I'm sorry." he choked out aftrwards, embarrassed.

Israh stared, before turning red, and looking away, towards the Hearthome City Gates. Eventually, though, she was able to speak, after the initial shock. She skipped over acknowledging the compliment, as it was too embarrassing to mention. Instead, she found herself telling him something that she had planned on keeping a secret. "Back in Snowpoint, it's freezing, and the snow never truly melts. Most people can live there, and still be comfortable, but for me, every single day was a trial. When I was born, my hands and feet should have been warm, but instead, they were cold, and in low temperatures, they would turn blue. Most people wore only one coat, but I wore three, and the hoods concealed my face from view. People didn't know what I looked like, and they were scared of me, because they couldn't see my face, and because of the traditions of my family. Even though I didn't like the cold and the rumors, I couldn't stay indoors. I went outside every chance I had, even if I was confronted by a severe blizzard. That was because my friends that I played with weren't human. They were Ice Pokemon, that only showed themselves when the storms came. We would go play by Lake Acuity, and I would often talk to them, wondering why it was that the lake never froze, even though the water in all other places was frozen solid." As she began to say this, her eyes took on a distant look, as though she were not entirely present. She had not noticed, but Riffraff and Wraith had begun to watch, curious.

"Well, one day, something strange happened. It wasn't a blizzard, but there was gentle snowfall, and I walked to the lake. I thought that the Sneasel and Snover would be there, but there wasn't a Pokemon in sight. That was when I thought I saw something. Over the lake, there was a shimmer, and just for a moment, something that looked like a Pokemon seemed to be floating there, watching me. Just as soon as it had appeared, it vanished." The look on Israh's face vanished. "I don't normally tell people what I saw on the lake, because I don't know for certain what it was. I don't want others to disturb the lake, looking for it, because there are lots of Pokemon that live there. I couldn't do that to them. I couldn't disturb the peace."

Red looked at the sky. It was a golden color, with a tint of crimson forming. It was days like this that he wished he knew his mother and still had his father around. He admired the sky and noticed that the moon was just beginning to show in the fading sky. For now, it was nothing but an outline of what it would be later, overshadowed by the sun.

It made him think of how he was overshadowed by the champions. Unnoticed for the majority of the day only to shine when nobody was looking in his own way. It made him wonder if he really wanted to go as far as he could possibly could and fight and possibly beat Cynthia. He had heard that being a champion was a curse in disguise. Just look at Red, he went as far as Mt. Silver to escape everyone. Even then some still followed him.

Bah! Nonsense. Of course he did. Look at all the other champions. They loved their jobs.

"I'm coming, what are you-" Red began, walking over to Draco, only to notice the Yamask. He held up his pokedex, and scanned the pokemon. Frowning at the description given. "What do you want me to do?" Red inquired. "You seem to have this under control."

The Absol watched the girl carefully, and was curious, to a degree, what she was talking to the other human about. Humans were strange creatures, but were incredibly fascinating to watch. They had complex communities they lived in, but some didn't like them, and preferred to be alone. Others liked warm places, and some preferred it when it was cold enough for it to snow. Humans did not seem to have any norm in regards to preferences, although many of them, the Absol supposed, would prefer any environment that was less dangerous. Humans did not have the powerful abilities of Pokemon. They could scratch, bite, and tackle, along with several other tactics, but seldom seemed to compare to the power of even a young Pokemon. The Absol, like many of its kind, felt protective of the humans, because they were so much weaker. That was why it appeared before them, when it sensed a disaster with its horn. However, Absol felt like this disaster was linked somehow to the girl, and her friends, although not in the way that they could be held responsible. It was perplexing indeed.

Red shook his head, and placed a hand on Draco's shoulder. "I'm ging to head off. Travel around a little bit. I want to be prepared for the next gym, because I wasn't last time. I don't want that to happen again." He said, before backing up. "I'll be traveling a little bit. Maybe I'll meet up with Israh and see how she's doing." He said, before turning around. He turned his head over his shoulder, and nodded to Draco. " 'Til then, mate." he said, before he rounded the ally corner and was out of sight.

Now, he needed to calm Foedus. He could come out of his pokeball if he really wanted to, but if he did he would hurt something or someone. He couldn't have that happen. It would be really bad, and he could have his trainers license revoked. He might even be labeled a Poacher, as Tyranitar was a very powerful, very rare pokemon. Seeing one under the ownership of a trainer with only one badge? That would arouse suspicion.

He had heard that muscle bands was being sold in shops. He could get one for the beast. It would definitely like to have more power to it's name. The only issue being that he didn't want to make the beast even MORE powerful than it already was. What is he could control it even less afterward?

That would be a nightmare.

Cyril was taken aback by Israh's story, and his eyes lit up with a remarkable glint.

"You're talking about Uxie!" Cyril cried out "One of the three Pokemon said to have been made by Arceus to govern the world! That's amazing!" Cyril caught himself geeking out before he went too far, and stopped himself by taking a long slow sip of his drink, his eyes never leaving Israh's face. Many people would call it an abomination that Israh's face looked this way, with all of this unneeded color. Cyril thought it looked beautiful, however, like a Picasso. It made him think of a tribe of natives that he had met a while back when trekking through the Eterna Forest with Professor Toron. They had similar facial markings, though theirs was war paint, and was not nearly as beautiful.

"So, your facial marks." Cyril said, trying to be as kind about it as possible "Do they mean anything, or are they just there for decoration?"

Israh thought for a moment, "It is the tradition of my people to wear markings, both humans and Pokemon. We used to have a different name, but now, we go by the name of Thread. When we are born, our parents each give us a single mark, meant to symbolize our name, as well as our birth. Then, as we grow older, more markings are added, until we are deemed responsible enough to add our own markings, in which our parents believe that we are truthful to ourselves, both our gifts and our flaws." She then sighed, "The truth gives us the power to sense Aura, the essence of a place or person, emotions and feelings. However, people hate the truth, because sometimes it is easier to hear lies. Pokemon themselves, although many do not know it, can also sense Aura, and thus, they are better at determining things than humans are. It is also how we know which Pokemon to choose, because there is a sort of pull that lets you know. You don't question it, you just follow it, and you learn something."

"GROOOOAWOAHWOAH!!!" Foedus roared, stomping his foot, creating an earthquake in the field Red had chosen to release the Tyranitar. Said earthquake send Red to his bum. The Tyranitar followed up with a crunch attack, trying to literally bite Red in half with it's massive jaws. Red, in desperation, opened his legs, making the Tyranitar bite nothing but dirt. "Quake, Thanatos, Crossfire! Hold him down!" he yelled. The pokemon, realizing they'd been summoned, released themselves from their pokeballs, and held the great Tyranitar to the ground as best they could. Despite this, the giant began to lift the three pokemon off their feet. Struggling more with lifting it's own weight that the other pokemon's.

Red, acting on the moment, tied the power band he had purchased around the Tyranitar's neck. The Tyrannosaurus, realizing it was being touched by the trash that was it's trainer, roared once again, and lifted itself fully up, throwing the other pokemon into the air and into the dirt a few feet away. It approached Red for a minute, and a crunch attack could be seen forming. However... It felt... power. More power at least. The dinosaur tilted it's head, trying to look at the band around it's neck.

A gift? The knot was ugly. However, he couldn't untie it himself. He didn't have the hands to do such a thing.

Red saw the dinosaur fumble with the knot. It was uncharacteristic of any large pokemon such as the one before him to be concerned with such a petty thing. It looked at him angrily, and walked closer, picking Red up by his shoulders and standing him up. Red, being confused as can be, looked at the Tyrant as if it had suddenly gone SANE. The Tyranitar curved it's armored arm towards the band's knot, and Red finally got what it was getting at.

He snickered slightly, and began to fix the knot, untying it and retying it like a tie. It was funny, seeing a Tyranitar with what looked like a business tie around it's neck.

Content with the new knot, the Tyranitar snarled, and backed away from Red, oddly protective of it's new possession, and sat down. His other pokemon made their way over to the behemoth, and seemed to converse with it. Thanatos seemed to almost befriend the giant, and the Tyranitar seemed more receptive to his fellow pokemon than to him.

He began to approach, and the Tyranitar stood up and snarled, making Red back away once again.

"Well, at least you're not trying to hurt me anymore." Red said, locking eyes with the Tyranitar. The large pokemon's eyes held no more hatred, but it didn't seem to accept Red yet.

Now he could worry about gym training. The threat of Foedus attacking inside a building and potentially destroying it, and killing him and anyone inside was now gone.
